Renovation and Decoration for a Young Family
Love Lane
A 1920’s tudor home situated on Love Lane, an aptly named street for this young family of five, offered an exceptional canvas for its redesign and renovation. Charming on its exterior, the home had undergone a number of renovations and additions that were not within scale of the original design. Working with a local architect and builder, we spearheaded the renovation, gutting and reconfiguring 30% of the second floor, replacing all dated elements in the bathrooms, adding a laundry room, removing mantles and built-ins and modifying the kitchen hood and island — all the while being mindful of the tudor’s great bones and history. The floors were refinished, moldings and mantles were updated and the entire home was painted and papered. We replaced and added striking new lighting fixtures and utilized the homeowners’ existing furniture to create a familiar but fresh narrative for this lovely family on Love Lane.
